This track is undoubtedly number 1 in my head at the moment. If you get a chance, check out some of the music this band are producing, it’s game changing!
She Wants starts off with a sound that could be taken from Duran Duran, with some fantastic synthesiser work that gives you chills. Then Joseph Mount’s sleepy lyrics kick in, which flow into a beautifully melodic chorus that says ‘this band are modern’. A unique sound, linking two decades together, but sounds fresh.
Metronomy are not a new band, but here’s hoping the success of their recent hit, The Look gives them the recognition they deserve. Everything crossed!
