One of the bonuses that comes with this pastime is all the new genres of music you get to sample. And now my baptism into “Dream Folk” continues, firstly with the fantastic London outfit Mt Wolf, and now I have stumbled upon Still Parade. Not a lot of info about them on the interweb, but as far as I can tell they hail from Berlin, Germany, and they have quite simply blown my mind!

For their track “Fields”, it is perhaps the folkiest song I have heard from them to date, I would describe the style as like the Cary Brothers have been cross-polinated with Bon Iver to spawn this highly catchy, listenable, and lets just say it…..beautiful track. This genre may be familiar to a lot of you, but I am now addicted to this style of Folk and all the new sounds it brings. Niklas Kramer’s voice in this track is so smooth, and the whole song has a lovely rhythm to it, you can’t help but lay back and just listen, I cant really describe it any better than that.
Like their music, let’s just lay back, chill, and see what happens with this group because they are that good. And as the music landscape continues to grow, they will no doubt find their way to a very special collection of fans that love this music as much as I do. My fingers and toes will all be crossed for them.
